If you are looking to save some expenses and headaches in the future, then waterproofing your basement is an investment you should consider. Here at Sedona Waterproofing Solutions our goal is to be your first choice when it comes to waterproofing your basement.

We use the Proflow from Beaver System which is similar to hard plastic that is shaped like corrugated pipe three to four inches around. It is placed on top of the footer and a pitch is created towards the sump pump. We then mount a liner on the wall. Any water that would try to pass through the wall would hit this liner then be routed towards the sump pump.

Why do we do things this way? If a drainage system was placed with no liner on the wall and just rested on the concrete, water is likely to pass through to touch things you would not want water to touch (such as your two-by-fours or your insulation) and over time it will start to rot or build up mold.

The next step is to install a sump pump basin. With a sump pump basin, which sits three feet deep in the ground, it collects the water that is trying to come in and is constantly pushing it out. (Think about it this way - if you have ever dug a hole or a trench in your yard, maybe to plant flowers or drainage, you might recall that when you got to about six to eight inches deep the hole started to collapse with water. This is usually a sign that the ground is saturated.)

Once our system is installed, we place concrete back over it and from there the liner goes up and everything is sealed up to prevent moisture that usually tries to get in from the wall or floor.

At Sedona this entire service has a warranty so our customers need not worry about paying for any potential after-service damages or defects.
